Description
The Double Face ensemble will bring to life a moment of artistic renaissance with *Baroque Blossoms – Peace Restored in Strasbourg*. Through Philipp Friedrich Böddecker’s (1607–1683) Sacra Partitura (1651), composed in the still-shaking aftermath of the Thirty Years’ War, a musical world in the process of reconstruction comes to life: Italian influence meets a deeply rooted Rhenish sensibility, in a style of composition that is both expressive and luminous.
