In Alsace, beer is deeply rooted in our traditions, an essential symbol of our regional culture and culinary heritage. It has always held a special place in the hearts of Alsatians.

It all began in 1746, on rue des Veaux in Strasbourg, when Jean Hatt founded the Espérance brewery. For more than a century, this establishment marked the history of local beer, until its closure in 1863.

But in 1991, after decades of silence, the tradition was reborn as Au Brasseur. Since then, we've carried on this heritage with passion and respect, brewing our craft beers on site with meticulous care.

Over 30 years later, we continue to blend tradition and modernity to offer authentic-tasting beers created with love and expertise.
