The convent Mont Sainte Odile Réf 07
Description
High place of pilgrimage dedicated to Saint Odile, patron saint of the Alsatians, the monastery is one of the most important sites in Alsace.
Guided tour of the monastery founded by the Patron Saint of Alsace in the 7th century.
In the Middle Ages, the monastery was destroyed and then rebuilt by the abbess Herrade de Landsberg who composed the "Hortus Deliciarum", considered as the first Christian and secular encyclopedia of the Middle Ages.
Free time to admire the magnificent panorama of the Alsace Plain, Strasbourg and the Black Forest.
Guided tours of the sanctuary for groups are done only with audiophones to respect the meditation and silence of the place.
If the group has its own audiophones, a "right to speak" of 60€ must be paid at the site's shop.
Otherwise, audiophones must be rented at 3.50€ per person, to be collected from the store. The reservation of the audiophones is made by the tourist office.
Price: 160€ for a one-hour guide (+ about 20 minutes for the collection and return of the audiophones) to be paid at the tourist office. Add the audiophones at 3,50€/person or 60€ of "right of speech" to be paid at the sales store of the site.
