Cycling circuit D03: Framont and Plaine, the valleys on both sides of the Donon
Schirmeck
Description
The Donon massif, a natural geographical border, was also used twice as a national border between 1870 and 1918 and between 1940 and 1945. This massif separates the western slope and the valley of the Framont which flows into the Bruche on the Alsatian side and the valleys of the Plaine, the Sarre Rouge and the Sarre Blanche on the Lorrain side. After a tour of the Donon massif, this route will take you over the pass for a quick loop in the Plaine valley.
