Guided tour : Christmas legends and traditions
Selestat
Description

With its mention of the Christmas tree dating back to 1521, Sélestat pays tribute to the fir tree in various ways every year. An exhibition of suspended fir trees in the nave of Saint-Georges Church highlights the evolution of Christmas tree decorations, among other things. The tour takes you back through the history and traditions of these decorations and, more generally, evokes the incredible customs and legends associated with Christmas. A tasting of mulled wine and bredele awaits you at the end of the tour.
